To create an inviting warm fragrance to the glowing ambiance, add 2 drops each of two or three resinous wood oils to a fireplace log about 20 minutes before lighting. Good choices are frankincense, myrrh, cedarwood, cypress, or sandalwood. For an aroma lamp, add to the wood oils at least one citrus oil (preferably orange) and a mint oil.
