Sage essential oil (Common Sage/Dalmatian Sage) is steam distilled from the leaves and flowering tops of the plant. It has a warm herbaceous aroma with a hint of camphor.
Dalmatian sage oil has the characteristic aroma of the herb that is recognizable as 'sage' to most of us.
Sage essential oil is antibacterial and antimicrobial. It is a good disinfectant and insect repellent. Care should be used however, sage contains thujone, and skin care applications should be limited to very small amounts.

Side Effects: of Sage
Use externally only, and only a few drops are enough as it is powerful. The undiluted essential oil can cause skin irritations. Avoid during pregnancy.
